Made for real Android phones
Tested across screen sizes, Android versions and cheaper devices, not just the latest flagship.
Android apps that feel right on every phone, not just the flagship ones.
I design and build Android apps for Perth businesses and startups, from first idea to Google Play. Hunter Markets, a marketplace app I co-designed and built with the Hunter Markets and Dilate teams, launched on Android and iOS together.
Android runs on thousands of different phones, from the newest Pixel and Samsung down to the budget handset a lot of your customers actually own. A good Android app has to feel fast and familiar on all of them: the back gesture works, notifications behave, and nothing breaks on a smaller screen. I design and test for that range, then handle the Google Play side so launch day is smooth.
Tested across screen sizes, Android versions and cheaper devices, not just the latest flagship.
Back navigation, Material design patterns and Android notification behaviour handled properly.
Developer account setup, store listing, screenshots, testing tracks and review, all taken care of.
Built cross-platform where it makes sense, so adding an iPhone version later doesn't mean starting again.
Who the app is for, the leanest version one and whether to launch Android first or both platforms together.
Screens designed around Android conventions, with a clickable prototype to test early.
Development with test builds on your Android phone through Google Play's internal testing.
Google Play submission, launch, crash monitoring and ongoing updates.
Every project is different, so we start with a free consult to work out what's involved. You get a fixed quote — and can pay it off monthly.
Can't see your question? — I reply to every message personally.
It depends on what the app needs to do. A focused first version costs far less than a full platform. After a free consult I'll scope it and send a fixed quote, and monthly payments are available.
It depends on your customers. Android has a big share of phones in Australia and most of the world, while iPhone users tend to spend more in apps. Building cross-platform usually means you don't have to choose.
For most business apps, React Native gives you Android and iOS from one codebase with a native feel. I'll use native Kotlin modules for anything that needs deeper access to the phone, and tell you honestly if your app needs to be fully native.
Yes. I set up the store listing, testing tracks and release process, handle Google's review and stick around for updates after launch.
Yes. I can update apps to meet Google Play's latest requirements, fix crashes and performance issues, or add new features to an app someone else built.
Tell me a little about what you're working on. I'll reply within one business day with honest thoughts — even if I'm not the right fit.
